At the Volksfest in Nürnberg, all of the food stands were selling fish-burgers alongside the bratwurst-burgers I've gotten so fat off of. Being digestively adventurous, I slapped down 2 Euro for what looked like a buncha salmon sushi in a baguette and pickled veggies.
My first thought was that it was salty, but then my chewing unlocked a briny, salty, concentrated taste of the ocean tsunami into my mouth. Fucking gross.
I took another bite to make sure my mouth wasn't playing tricks on me. Yeah, it was disgusting.
The smiling German faces around me mouthed April Fools! Joke's on you, silly Amerikaner! and I was so mad that I fell for it that I threw my unfinished salt-McNasty-burger into the face of a random passerby.

Richmond Castle had a Knights Tournament. As well as a handful of stalls showcasing various things, they had a tournament between 4 knights. Between the 1v1 tournament and the Grand Melee the Fool put on a show involving fire eating and "getting onto stilts in the most incompetent and convoluted way possible".
