We were on our way to Lake Stroud for the Oklahoma Hot Boat Association drag boat race when we found this little Route 66 gem — and wow, are we glad we did! The vibe is super nostalgic, and the food? Unreal. That chicken fried steak is no joke — and we were told the pies are amazing (definitely grabbing one next time)!

 

💬 Here’s a little history we found out: Clanton’s has been around since 1927 and is the oldest continually family-owned restaurant on Route 66. It’s been run by four generations of the Clanton family and was even featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. So cool!

 

If you’re ever near Vinita, you have to stop here. Total small-town charm with big flavor — the perfect road trip stop on the way to a weekend of speed and sun! ️☀️
