I first was aware of this store when it became a Wherehouse music store. (Wasn't that how they spelled it?--It was a creative spelling.)
It appears it may have been a Milgram or other food store.
The Super K Food Store on San Felipe had the center blown out of its sign but the frame stayed together and the pole stood straight.

The final transformation - the former Woolies on Bethnal Green Road is one of those fortunate to have found a new use. It reopened as an Iceland foodstore on Thursday 7th May.

The sack is obviously torn. Even then, Merlin could not fit in a Miller's sack. Isn't Miller's associated with National foodstores? Dad made this table, from a round plywood cut out, with his power saw, and installed the legs himself.
We were privileged to live in a brand-new house, via much sacrifice, but plainly the furniture was not elegant. Look at these chairs.
