Our Gungo peas are cleaned meticulously to remove any impurities to provide you with the highest quality. Gungo peas are also known as pigeon peas and are a great source of fibre and nutrients. In Indian food they are cooked with a range of spices and ingredients to create an authentic Indian curry, popular with vegetarians.
It used to be open 24 hours. Then they conveniently shaved the "4" to a "1" when they began closing three hours per night. Now they're barely open 12-15 hours per day, but the sign remains unaltered on Meer Way at Freeport Blvd in Sacramento.

Gentlemen -- Are you having fun and thoroughly enjoying the tenth hour of your Solo Vegas Vacation? Good! So now, what do you think of your first close look at the fabulous and expansive Eataly Italian Marketplace & Food Hall? This massive Italian food court was still under construction last Spring when you and your very lovely lady were vacationing on the Las Vegas Strip. You and your very lovely lady really enjoyed staying here in 2015 and 2016 when it was the Monte Carlo Hotel & Casino, so how well do you like this place now in 2019 as the Park MGM?
Like many of the other foodstores in this area this shop is advertising it's fish sales on Fridays and Saturdays reflecting local observances to various religious and cultural traditions. The huge shiny cooking pots on display in the window might also suggest that curries, stews and soups are common cuisine in this area. The Halal meat certification suggests that the area is frequented by a significant Muslim population.
On the eastern edge of Nepean.
Someone wanted me to take photos of this intersection, so here it is!
Not too much to see... a neighbourhood mini-mall, the sign for the Parkwood Hills real estate development, traffic lights and cars.
Taken months before they closed. This was on the south wall (this was not visible when looking into the store). I wonder if this sign was actually put up when Sentry Foods began operations in this already-quite-old grocery store (1992)?
Eco-friendly Midlands Co-op supermarket at Oakham, Rutland- they harvest rainwater, use special refidgeration units which use a lot less power (and use the by-product heat to warm the building), gross grass on the roof to insulate, use computer controlled ventilation (all natural where possible), even the lighting is automatic and only operates when needed (computers monitor light levels and open/close blinds on the windows where needed).

This odd little shop sprung out in my town, which is great because I don't have to go miles to get my buckwheat, kefir, tvorog, smetana, pel'meni etc... The second name down on the right is 'Store' in Russian, for those who know cyrillic. But underneath that there's another name for the shop that seems to say 'Sklep'. Now in Russian this word loosely means 'crypt' or 'tomb'... creepy! Makes me wonder which eastern european language has the word 'crypt' for 'foodstore'? Chilling...

(this pile of overalls and hats made me smile for some reason!)
