Former Petrol Station - South Park Garage, South Park Avenue, Lincoln, Lincolnshire.
South Park Garage has been empty & abandoned for the last few years, appearing on the local "Lincolnshire Live" news website back in February this year as it was rumoured that Lincolnshire Co-op want to turn it into another one of their foodstores.
Throughout my years of living in Lincolnshire, I've known very little about this place and only known it to be a cars sales garage, ranging from Suzuki's, Toyota, BMW and Fiat.
Opearating under the name Crompton & Holt, I have found since that this name goes back to around 1947, when the garage opened, later in time having various extensions, this included workshops being added,
These were accessable via Kingsway, which is the street that goes around the back of the site.
I didn't know that this had been a petrol station here, I do know now that Regent petrol was sold in 1965 and whether or not it would become a Texaco site once they aquired the Regent brand.
Some people that I've spoken to about the place say that petrol was sold here until the 1980's, even mentioning the brand Major but I cannot confirm this.
All throughout the street view era, South Park Garage was selling motorbikes until it closed.
