finally had the chance to meet up with trilly, someone i've had the pleasure of meeting via flickr. she's truly passionate about food and baking. trilly, her husband and i had a great time chatting over coffee and tea (and some delicious cupcakes). she's just started her catering company called whiskie bits bakeshop in the bay area. if you're ever in need of some tasty, creative treats in the area, check whiskie bits out.
clockwise, from bottom:
lavender bee - vanilla cake, lavender flowers, white chocolate, honey with lavender-honey cream cheese frosting
thai iced tea - thai tea cake with thai tea cream cheese frosting
black pearl - black sesame cake, ginger, wasabi with ginger-wasabi white chocolate buttercream frosting
Hummingbird Cake complete with cream cheese frosting, dustings of cinnamon and final touches of walnut halves. It was a very moist cake and went really well with a cup of tea!

Siendo de Centro América no se mucho de comida, bah, en general solo se pedirla por teléfono pero creo que ahí masomenos represento comida de ese tipo. Compré los ingredientes todos enlatados y monté todo en la mesa de mi casa.
