We had so much dense fog last night that the garden was bedecked with pearls of fog.

Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for your kind comments, awards and faves -- I appreciate them all.

Sun was really trying, but few moments later, fog was everywhere.

Fog is approaching the scene

Nöstach NÖ: Nebel / fog

I had my birthday off yesterday and was able to find a little time to do some photography on a special weather event day. There was a dense fog day that lasted from early morning until the late afternoon. I was trying to figure out which way to head to take it all in and decided to head to the closest lake. You might not be able to tell but the lake is directly behind this tree. I found this scene quite telling. A fallen branch and another one on the way almost as it's leaning down trying to pick up its friend.

Actually that morning the fog stayed until noon.

It has been foggy and off and on rainy since Friday. The local airport had to cancel almost all flights for the past three days. My son had to get back to school but his flight was canceled for two days straight. I ended up driving him to Detroit to catch the second leg of his flight; with fog like this most of the way there and back. At night you couldn't see more than the distance of three lane hash marks, even with fog lights.

These were black walnut trees on the sides of the road.
