I just bought my Sigma 18-250 f/3.5-6.3 OS last week... I heard and found in some lenses reviews that most Sigma lenses problem is the back and front focusing... I guess i got lucky and have the perfect one here...

In the wild kingdom the very lives of the inhabitants relies on their ability to focus when stalking their prey. This Green Heron is dialed in as he spots an aquatic meal near the surface of the water in a wetland pond.

A Hume's Leaf Warbler (Phylloscopus humei) was scanning foraging opportunities in the afternoon in its natural habitat full of thorny perches. It never came out in the open lights and continued its call within the bushes. The posture here is typical warbler in search of insects. Pics was taken from Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary in West Bengal, India.

“Focused Intensity”. It’s hard to imagine a situation more intense than a predator stalking prey. This is a shot of an Osprey I took at California’s San Elijo Lagoon. The raptor was hovering 60 feet above an inlet preparing for a strike. I loved the intense stare and the outstretched leg and talons. I used a black and white presentation so as not to distract the viewer from the nuances of the head, wing and leg positions with colors.

These gulls are the most common and plentiful in numbers here in Australia - so I set myself the task of trying to portray one in a unique way.
Looking back, my only regret is adding a copyright signature as it can be distracting.

I am gradually getting familiar with my new camera. I took it out the other night, ( just noticed the date is wrong, will have to fix that ), and I couldn't figure out how to focus and various other issues which I will stop talking about now because its embarrassing to be so dumb, lets just say its different than my other cameras and I will persevere, but so far I like what it sees, I think we will be great pals once my brain grasps its intricacies. I took this down on the dyke at Centennial Beach where it seems half of Tsawwassenites come to walk their dogs, jog, take an after dinner stroll, meet their friends and enjoy the fresh air and sunset view of Mount Baker. I just clicked away and hoped for the best and this isn't sharp but then neither am I anymore :)
