In keeping with my ongoing aim to include just the subject and background in a photo, this is my effort as I wander through an antique shop in Virginia
Trunk of a dead tree at F 0.95. Just a demonstration of what a close-up at a super fast aperture means focus-wise.
I tried focus stacking for the first time using auto align and auto blend in PS. How did I do? Not perfect I know but much better than a single macro shot at this angle.

The day we were at this beach just north of the airport the waves were big but shortlived. The riders had to really focus on catching waves and getting the most out of the short ride.
Just a little variety coz there are more sand pictures to come.. hehe... i took this picture to also "test drive" my new tripod... i love it!!.. =D
