After a pretty miserable weekend of weather, the skies finally cleared this morning although the wind was still punishing! Here's Flybe BE2101 from Edinburgh coming into land at Heathrow Airport with some challenging crosswinds, just after sunrise this morning.

Greek start-up Marathon Airlines, operating on behalf of the 'new' FlyBe Mk 2.
First flown with the Embraer test registration PT-TPD, this aircraft was delivered to Air Lease Corporation and leased to Alitalia Cityliner as EI-RDA in Oct-11. It was withdrawn from service and stored at Rome-Fumicino in Apr-20 at the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
It was moved to Katowice, Poland in Jul-20 for further storage. The aircraft was returned to the lessor as OE-IZZ at the end of Jun-21 and remained stored at Katowice. It was ferried to Maastricht, Netherlands in Sep-21 for maintenance and then stored at Lleida, Spain in Nov-21.
The aircraft was leased to a new Greek start-up, Marathon Airlines as SX-ASK in Mar-22. It was wet-leased to Flybe Airlines II in Jun-22 for the peak summer season. Current, 01-Aug-22.
