The cat (not ours) decides she wants to help him feed the Venus Flytrap.

Charles has only been here a couple of months, but survived almost completely drying out while adjusting from the grocery store, and sprang back from it healthy and strong. He has 2.5 inch long leaves and 1 inch traps, shows potential for good color next year.

Run of the mill Venus Flytraps. I've recently split the cluster into separate plants. There were about 6!

A better picture of my new flytrap. All the traps are opening because they were closed during a hard rain yesterday. He's dormant right now, so his colors aren't very vibrant.

Tippi's babies did not like the terrarium I put them in when they seemed to need a little more humidity. I carefully pruned the dying leaves and put them in little makeshift pots made from tiny water bottles. They are doing better, even maybe starting to blush.

These are some more carnivorous plants that I found in Mt. Tomah Botanical gardens near Lithgow, NSW. I will be out all day so I will catch up with you all later.

A selfmade trap from Ethanol, Gylcerin and some balsamic vinegar inside a 50 ml Erlenmeyer-flask. Most of the trapped flies are Drosophila spec..

Yep, when I came back from holiday the poor thing was completely dead and black, thought I lost it for good like a venus flytrap I had ages ago, alas after a month or so brought it back to good health as you see here! :D
