Fluid Design? Floating Goblet? 3D - IMRAN™

I have not had time to do my experimental Virgin frozen drinks to post in 3D for a while. The other late night, I just made myself this concoction with pomegranate and pineapple, strawberry & banana juice. It came out great even without my using a blender. The 3D effect ( www.facebook.com/100063547631173/posts/418959146899003/ ) makes the goblet look like it’s floating in the air. But even though I had to manually hold it to drink it, it was delicious.

Looking up from within a stunning architectural space in Washington, D.C., the viewer is captivated by a dynamic interplay of form, light, and shadow. A constellation of circular skylights diffuses soft daylight through a sculptural atrium rimmed by wavy translucent panels that recall both futuristic design and organic flow. A glowing orange disc—suspended like a setting sun—adds a pop of bold color and spatial tension. This image blurs the line between built environment and abstract art, evoking celestial metaphors and space-age dreams. A celebration of symmetry, rhythm, and materiality, this photo invites contemplation from architects, designers, and curious travelers alike.

A striking example of modern organic architecture, this building's fluid lines and curved balconies create a sense of movement and harmony. The monochrome palette enhances its sculptural elegance, emphasizing contrast and form.

The digital age is well and truly upon us. No longer just the premise of computer wiz kids, society as a whole is embracing new technology as a standard feature of everyday life. Hello Digital is the Midlands first festival celebrating this revolution, and Integrated creative agency Fluid were called upon to conceive and produce the branding campaign for this pivotal three day event.

Regardless of age, gender or location – the information era brings people together on a worldwide platform of global connectivity. It was this awe-inspiring ideology of accessibility and inclusion that provided the starting point for Fluid’s vision.

The Global Hyatt Corporation are widely acknowledged as industry leaders in the hospitality sector. We were delighted to have the opportunity to demonstrate our versatility of style, when the prestigious Andaz Hotel (part of the Hyatt group) recently commissioned us to brand their flagship European restaurant 1901.

Located in the heart of London’s Liverpool Street the project called for an artistically aware branding solution that was as deeply considered and beautifully executed as the venue itself.

Combining the ‘casual luxury ‘of the company ethos, with organic designs influenced by nature and the building itself, the results produced represented a tactile and ornate infusion of unique, contradictory and timeless patterns.

Requirements included: New Brand Logo, Stationary, Restaurant Menus and VIP Opening Invites

As a progressive dining experience 1901 needed a theatrical design concept that appealed to all elements of its diverse customer base. Popular with City based business people during the day, the venue also draws an East End fashion and art crowd in the evenings.

By making the focus of the campaign about quality and detailing, Fluid ensured it produced results that were universally attractive, and provided a ‘talking point’ for 1901’s diverse client groups .

Nature was evoked through unusual and highly skilled printing techniques including layering, sculpture embossing and foils. The menu covers had a muted palette and employed a tactile material which is known for it’s ‘curious touch’ ( liked by some, loathed by others!)ensuring the products would get people talking straight away.

In-keeping with the theatrical vision of the concept ,and echoing the layout of the restaurant, five menu inserts were printed with bright effervescent colours, providing a dramatic contrast to the venues white marble surroundings.

Sustainability was an important feature of the project and recycled, biodegradable and chemical free materials were used throughout.

Please note that this is an example of concept work and has not been run...yet.

Nickelodeon: ‘Five a Day’ Games Series for THQ.

As the publisher for the Nickelodeon kids titles, THQ Play approached Fluid to create a brand identity concept that would provide a fun and quirky marketing tool to link all communications into one integrated look. Nickelodeon is a brand that understands kids and is controlled by kids. It’s about Entertainment, Humour, Slime and giggles and these key messages should be incorporated in to the work.

The brand identity concepts are to be rolled out across all key media including: TV, Print, Web, instore and Packaging

Nickelodeon is a brand that prides itself for seeing the worlds through the eyes of kids, therefore Fluid did just when conceiving the creative.

Letting imagination take the controls, Fluid envisioned a vibrant fantasy world filled with penguins, balloons and star dusted bubbles. At the centre of the concept a 3D modeled magical games factory gobbles up a special recipe of five lotions and potions which it mixes up and chugs out to create the ‘5 a day’ games titles.

Designed to appeal to younger children, colours are kept bright and bold and fonts are curved and bouncy creating an environment of fun and silliness.

A range of concepts were produced with all the imagery being created from scratch for more information on this brief please go to www.fluidesign.co.uk/#/project/?projid=147

A staircase or maybe a question mark carved in gold. It doesn’t promise a way up or down. It promises movement.

This isn’t architecture. It’s choreography in metal and light. A ribbon of silence. A spiral spine of some ancient god who once lived in geometry.

Step inside and you disappear, not physically, but conceptually. You become the next twist.

House of the Hungarian Millennium

This image captures the sinuous forms of a modern architectural edifice. The flowing, undulating lines of the facade emphasize a sense of movement, as if the building itself is alive and breathing. Each floor seamlessly transitions to the next, unified by reflective glass that mirrors the world outside. Punctuating the organic rhythm are sporadic windows left ajar and objects within, reminding the viewer of the human activity contained within this sculptural masterpiece.

'ichi’ - translating as ‘one’ in Japanese – was the name and ethos taken by a new London based creative agency. Offering creative, production and post-production under ‘one’ roof.

ichi required a logo that would nod to the Eastern definition of their ethos but wouldn’t miscommunicate their nationality. The logo plays with an understated origami influence combined with a contemporary deep plum colour palette. The notion of ‘oneness’ is extended to the fluidity of the single line which forms actual word, and the playful shape shifting nature of its tone.

Earlier this year we worked with Team Saatchi as part of the print advertising campaign for 2012 GB Paralympic Games.

The brief was to create a visual translation of Team Saatchi’s ‘Game On’ and branding concept for the 2012 GB Paralympics. The images produced had to challenge current perceptions and promote notions of achievement, ability, talent and determination.

Visually setting the style and tone of the campaign, Fluid drew on influences from the gaming and film world to create a stormy explosive environment in which to position the athletes as super-hero’s. Working with a selection of group and individual images, the team is arranged in to a powerful tableau which depicts the group crashing down to earth straight to the centre of the Olympic stadium. The image is epic and charged with an electric sense of movement and energy and the team are immortalized into fictional ‘beyond-human’ beings. There is a high octane sense of drama and ambition which seek to bring the branding concept to life in a dynamic, relevant and engaging format.

When Fluid were brought on board to work on the contemporary re-invention of iconic arcade rail shooter game ‘ House of the Dead- Overkill’, Sega were generous enough to bless them with those magic words that all designers hope to hear – ‘run with your own creativity’.

So they did- and the result have been amazing, causing waves all over the industry.

Delicate yet bold, this striking composition brings together AI, traditional art, and photography to form an unfolding display of rich blues, reds, and purples. The layered petal-like shapes seem to pulse with movement, as if caught mid-expansion. This fusion of technology and artistry by Duncan Rawlinson captures a sense of transformation, where softness and intensity exist in perfect contrast.

This is one gorgeous piece of glass!! It is a large pendant (about 2 1/2 in. long) made from borosilicate glass. It is one-of-a-kind and is one of the most beautiful pieces I have created or seen. It was also very fun and exciting to make.
