At certain points on the planet’s surface, “ether” flows stronger than at other places. The ether flows in a set grid across the planet, much like a lattice of energy lines. There are some places where the etheric energy makes contact with the landscape... for thousands of years peoples have followed ancient paths to these energy spots, these sacred places...’.

I found an old book about lithofilm and high-contrast images, really inspiring ideas. The thing with lithofilm was that when shot it only contained dense black and the rest was transparent. The extremely highcontrast image made by using litho could then be tinted, painted, manipulated in dozens of ways. I tried a modern variation by starting with a bw potrait with an interesting pattern as background, made it highcontast, took it to paint and colored the created white parts of the background with a light color and took it back and "tinted" the image sepia.
