Some of the huge flock of lapwings that can be seen on the tack piece and the surrounding fields at Slimbridge Wetlands Centre in the winter. These birds had been spooked by a peregrine falcon and had taken to the air!
This flock of Bonaparte's gulls flew across my field of view as I was waiting for the sunset over Lake Erie to intensify....

My previous camera body would not have gotten this shot. Focus on the 5D Mark iii is ridiculous!!! Heard these birds before I saw them, and then they buzzed by at great speed.
Se carga la malga in giugno, a san Piero se lava le mastele, la vacca bisogna portarla a disnar, perché se la liberi resta sul comodo.
A Santa Maddalena se suga la vena, la mucca cala il latte perché l’erba cambia, verso Ferragosto la vacca vien stanca, allora si comin-cia a dare il fieno e mangime.
A settembre se descarga e si torna a baita per l’inverno.
La malga l’è un gran lavoro, si mangia al salto, quello ch’el buta tra na roba e l’altra.
La contentezza più grande è vedere gli animali che stanno bene.

Dozens of butterflies (up to 14 or more species) gather at the spring on the shore of the lake (reservoir) Cheo Lan in the jungle nat. of Khao Sok Park in Thailand. This small plot (3 * 4m) will compete with any "garden" of butterflies in terms of quantity and variety!
The picture shows 6 species of butterflies: Graphium nomius, Graphium doson, Graphium sarpedon, Tirumala hamata and two species of blueflies
