German brand Flixbus launched its first routes in the UK in 2016. It plans routes and pricing and does marketing but works with local operators who provide staff and vehicles. Flixbus has worked with McGill’s Buses (based in Greenock) since 2021 and here McGill’s fleet number 0612 was seen on York Place about to access Edinburgh Bus Station via Elder Street. The Volvo 9700 is working Service 010 from Glasgow to London via Edinburgh, Newcastle, Leeds and Sheffield (Meadowhall).

I've not been to Victoria Coach Station for a long time and had forgotten how busy it is! Gone are the Megabuses (shame) but there is still plenty of variety to be seen despite almost every National Express coach being a Levante 3/3a (shame). It makes the other stuff stand out I suppose!

Today saw Flixbus service 090 between Glasgow and Edinburgh, operated by the McGills Group increase frequency to every 30mins. Parked up on break and displaying appropriate screens by pure chance is 0662 - SJ23HVL on the left displaying 090 Glasgow whilst the coaches that launched this Flixbus adventure off for McGill's are parked next to each other with 0611 - SJ21NDN showing "McGill's Group" and 0612 - SJ21NDO with 090 Edinburgh on the front.
