Flipper carousel at the Volksfest in Stuttgart.

This is the first time I've seen the hind flippers of a seal relatively up close. Albeit through a glassed sea enclosure, but what a fascinating and unique body apparatus to uphold!

With so many nostalgia shows returning to TV (MacGyver, Magnum PI, Hawaii 5-O, etc.) networks executives are scrambling to find the Next Huge Thing. Big on ideas but low on budget, they have decided to mash two classics together. Baywatch meets Chips (and perhaps a third? BJ and the Bear?). The Los Angeles streets and beaches will never be safer, nor the same, ever again.

I swear I think Naxos just tps somewhere and stands there until someone comes along to photograph him.

It's no secret I love the coast and this little town, and every time I'm there, I always find something new or different, like these amazing treasures which I assume are from a Crustacean of some sort.

The two pieces are joined and have the most amazing colours and textures. I found them in and amongst the cray pots and I just love them. Needless to say I took so many photos of them.

They looked especially amazing, backlit from the morning sun, that was just waking up for the day (see next photo).
