Calendula is a genus of about 15–20 species of annual and perennial herbaceous plants in the daisy family Asteraceae that are often known as marigolds. They are native to southwestern Asia, western Europe, Macaronesia, and the Mediterranean.

Have a lovely Thursday

I thought that it was interesting to catch a glimpse of the side of this little starfish that you rarely see as he is hanging out underwater.

It's raining ! After 7 months with only 1mm of rain it is finally raining. 15mm is forecast.

Poppy flipside from archives.

We only got 5mm of rain, bummer.

This was taken at the peak in Hong Kong. Tourists generally rush to photograph Hong Kong iconic skyline but decided to photograph the other side as we got there.

This building from the front is one of the ugliest 1970's buildings in Glasgow. Different story from the back :)

With liv xxx. manchester, Nora Jones.

Rushed to this location as I was shooting another composition nearby. Couldn't find this spot initially, but luckily manage to find it in time.

Are you gonna hurt me now?

Or are you gonna hurt me later?

Are you gonna go to town?

Maybe you should play it safer

You've got me all dressed up tonight

Springsteen on the radio

You've got me all freaked out tonight

Somethin' you're tellin' me, what? I don't know

You don't wanna break me down

You don't wanna say goodbye and

You don't wanna turn around

You don't wanna make me cry but

You caught me once

Maybe on the flipside I could catch you again

You caught me once

Maybe on the flipside you could catch me again

Drinks on the patio

Are you gonna tell me now?

Are you gonna tell me later?

Cause if you think that I don't know

I'm gonna have to say you're crazy

I'm getting all dressed up tonight

Dressed up just to hear you, boy

I already know what you got in store

Why I go, baby, I don't know

You don't wanna break me down

You don't wanna say goodbye and

You don't wanna turn around

You don't wanna make me cry but

You caught me once

Maybe on the flipside I could catch you again

You caught me once

Maybe on the flipside you could catch me again

So you think you're in charge?

Do you?

Actin' like a big shot

I'm sure

20 Fenchurch Street, London, EC1.

A different view of the Las Vegas Strip, taken from the top of the south parking garage of the Las Vegas Premium Outlets. This is looking south at the I-15 at the exit for Charleston Blvd.

I had planned on taking a few different shots of this view with different focal lengths. Alas, disaster struck after maybe 5 or so shots when my battery ran out! Lesson learned, be prepared :/ Will definitely revisit this shot with a wider angle to see how it turns out. For now, this is how it looks at 100mm.

Worth a look on a bigger scale.

Enjoy your Sunday!

After a long windsurfing session I had the opportunity to slip on the ND filter and take some pictures with longer exposures. This was a truly comfortable photo session. I've had my big dose of adrenaline, hands are now calm and the wind settles a bit.

It was rather grey and murky by the time I visited Paddington Basin in London, but still managed to capture this oblique reflection of the modern architecture.

This is a VERY minor stitch of two frames, so that I could get in both the tree at the left and the crack at the right. :-)

Hurricane Dorian has caused untold damage in the Bahamas and other Caribbean isles. This time Florida lucked out with barely a grazing and I got to enjoy some extra time with my family after preparing for the storm that was originally headed our way. This rainbow was fleeting as the rising sun behind me moved on almost as quickly as the morning rainstorm.
