A late autumn afternoon at a fishbond - time for the three to look for a safe place for the night.

Amazing situation observing the red kite eating while flighing. Luckily, it was so close that I could take a couple of these spectacular pictures.
There was a time when work and play are same as hard.
The harder it gets, the brighter the smile should be!!
When was it? It was in 1994-1998,
the times with Singapore Airlines.

On the right are two railway arches that were workshops rented by Sir Edwin Alliot Verdon Roe OBE, Hon. FRAeS, FIAS (26th April 1877 - 4th January 1958). It was here as a freelance inventor that he assembled and flew the first all British aeroplane the Roe 1 Triplane in 1909.
His AVRO Vulcan bombers famously helped us to retake the Falkland Islands from invading Argentinian forces by bombing Port Stanley Airport in 1982.

There were two, very delightful kites flighing high up in the sky! Was great hiking the tails again! ⭐️
Not even six months ago, the world was still in order. But a virus changed everything. We have to stay at home and take care, so that we all stay healthy.
In this sense: Stay all healthy, so that we may still experience such holidays with dreamlike landscapes in the future and above all: take pictures!

"Tundra Swan Family Flight" by Patti Deters. These three Tundra swans (Cygnus columbianus) were flying close together as they seemingly enjoyed the cloudy weather. You can tell these birds are tundra swans, sometimes called whistling swans, because of the small yellow spot on the beak - although not all of these large white birds have the yellow spot. Tundra swans have smaller bodies and shorter straighter necks than the Trumpeter or Whooper swan, with which they are often confused. Regardless, they are lovely to watch as they gracefully fly overhead. These Tundra are famous for their sounds - whenever there is a large group they are constantly calling to each other. They sound similar to geese. If you like outdoor nature photography, please see more images of birds and other wildlife at patti-deters.pixels.com/featured/tundra-swan-family-fligh....

Hunting Great Blue Herons wade slowly or stand statue-like, stalking fish and other prey in shallow water or open fields. Watch for the lightning-fast thrust of the neck and head as they stab with their strong bills. Their very slow wingbeats, tucked-in neck and trailing legs create an unmistakable image in fligh
