A huge red-tailed hawk regularly perches on top of the billboard outside my window at work.
Sometimes it will visit every day for a month or more, other times we won't see it for a few weeks, but always it comes back eventually.
Once or twice, I've seen two of them together, so they must be a mating pair.
I've also seen them on top of the tower at Mt Auburn Cemetery, where the groundskeeper said they're building a nest. I'm assuming it's the same pair of birds there, a couple of miles away from where I usually see them, and that their territory must cover this entire area.

There were thin clouds at first, but they cleared up before long.
The green artifact to the left is the reverse of what the moon looked like to the naked eye at this point; I think it was flare from the lens UV cover, as it stopped showing up when I unscrewed it from the mount.

07/03/2016 and I have passed one and a half million views on Flickr and despite being aware that the statistics provided cannot always be relied upon, here's the summary:
Total aggregate of .................. 1,501,156 views
All time daily average of ................ 900 views
Highest day of ................................. 6,711 views on 14/10/2013

I personally don't believe it. Just from uploading one image 4 days ago...
AND for it reaching almost as high that same 4 days ago.

Recently, around 23rd May 2019 Flickr undertook a major revamp which resulted in Flickr being inaccessible in Australia for several days.
When we came out of the tunnel I immediately noticed that my stats had lost well over 750,000 views.
A week later I noticed that approximately 650,000 views were reinstated without explanation. This was a net deficit of at least 100,000 of the pre-existing stats total which at that time was approaching 18 million views. Flickr claims to have fixed the issues but that clearly continues to be not the case.
My photstream had been averaging between 6,000 and 12,000+ daily views prior to May 21st just before Flickr went down.
Since then daily views have plummeted by more than 50% at least on many days.
I can only assume the original Yahoo stats system may not have been recording accurate visitation and that following the Flickr shutdown a different system has now been installed.
If anyone can suggest any reasons for the sudden decline in daily visitation I'm curious to know.
Has anyone else noticed a decline in their daily views?

flickrstats must have gone crazy - it shows me almost 900 views which is a bit weird...

[a new all time high on 21/08/2018. Strangely views were at 38,899 and rising as I went to bed, but only showing 35,330 when I awoke! More proof as to the unrealiability of flickr stats?]

Photos shot on the old (1970s vintage) manual Nikkormat SLR camera, digitized to PictureCD when developed back in 2002. Not very high resolution scans, but then not always very high quality photos in the first place. Oh well.
