SÜDAFRIKA( South-Africa), Im Kruger-Nationalpark.SÜDAFRIKA( South-Africa),
Kruger National Park is a South African National Park and one of the largest game reserves in Africa. It covers an area of 19,623 km2 (7,576 sq mi) in the provinces of Limpopo and Mpumalanga in northeastern South Africa, and extends 360 km (220 mi) from north to south and 65 km (40 mi) from east to west. The administrative headquarters are in Skukuza. Areas of the park were first protected by the government of the South African Republic in 1898, and it became South Africa's first national park in 1926.
To the west and south of the Kruger National Park are the two South African provinces of Limpopo and Mpumalanga, respectively. To the north is Zimbabwe, and to the east is Mozambique. It is now part of the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park, a peace park that links Kruger National Park with the Gonarezhou National Park in Zimbabwe, and with the Limpopo National Park in Mozambique.
The park is part of the Kruger to Canyons Biosphere, an area designated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as an International Man and Biosphere Reserve.

This is our beautiful old girl, Jazzy. She had an aggressive cancer and was given a prognosis of 12 months. That was 4 years ago. She just turned 10, officially an elder pup now, and is extremely healthy, and slightly spoiled.
She loves our daily walks, and the post-walk treat even more.

Or...take 3, of the same scene! Again, this is the Mississippi River, as taken at Trempealeau, Wisconsin. The sunset isn't that dramatic, but I thought it was pretty with the mountains in silhouette, and the river shimmering in the light! Hope you enjoy!

This is Hyde's Mill, nestled in the southwest region of Wisconsin, near Spring Green and Prairie du Sac. As you can see, this wooden water wheel mill was built in 1850 by William Hyde. The mill burned in the 1870s, but was reconstructed by Ted Sawle. It was built on Mill Creek in the little town of Ridgeway.
Sometimes during the year, there is quite the water flowing from the falls, but now not so much...I assume because we haven't had much rainfall lately. Anyway, if there were more water flowing, I would have included that in the picture, just a little more to the right of this viewing,
The whole area is just very peaceful and idyllic. Hope you all enjoy!

Mother Nature lights up the spring forest with the dainty beauty of wild geranium, also known as wild cranesbill

This tiny Wren appeared on the top of the bird feeder outside my window and immediately started singing in a huge voice. It had only just fledged and perhaps had not yet learned all the secretive behaviour typical of a Wren, which is usually heard rather than seen.
It stayed all morning and then came back in the evening.
Perhaps this was its first song? Regardless, it made my day.
This photo shows it larger than life-size - for comparison, look at the screwhead in the feeder.

In looking back through my archives, I came upon this shot, and several like it. I thought it was so beautiful, the explosion of color! This shot was taken between Tomah and Sparta, Wisconsin, on highway 16. We hadn't yet moved back here, but we were in the process. This was on our trip out here to go house hunting! Such fun!
Hope you all enjoy!

Since most parks and things are closed because of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), I thought I'd give a "nod" to my archives. This is the time of year we would have driven up to Skagit Valley to enjoy the beautiful tulip festival. We, unfortunately, can't do that this year--the first year since we've been here in Washington. Hope you enjoy!

Although this shot of the tulips at Tulip Town was taken fairly early on in the season, I like the shot of the barn and mountains in the background. This, of course, is taken from my archives five years ago in 2017. How I miss not being able to be there this year! Hope you enjoy!
