Vernazza, one of Cinque Terre's jewels, glows in the mellow tones of twilight. The town's famous pastel houses look stunning against the deep blue of the sea and sky. As the sun sets, the horizon becomes blurry, and the ocean and sky appear to merge.

I've had a very grumpy week. Lots of small problems which can easily be fixed or are not worth losing sleep over have amounted to one big, week-long grump.

The number one question surrounding this photo is how did I shoot 17 frames to create a stacked image and keep the spider still. Funny story. I was cleaning the house when I saw this little guy watching me on the window. I was too busy to stop and put my macro setup together so I put the spider in a small container and popped it into the fridge for later. I was surprised to find that it was in this position and was perfectly preserved. Made for a great photo shoot and I didn't have to worry about it moving.
