A quiet moment from a 1995 adventure in Thailand — this shot captures my friend Priscilla during a peaceful pause on the beach at the iconic James Bond Island. The vivid sea, the volcanic rocks, and that faraway gaze say everything about the magic of travel in simpler times.
Shot on slide film using a Yashica 107MP, this image was carefully scanned with a Plustek 8300i to preserve the colors and detail of the original.
One frame, thousands of memories.

This photo was taken in August 1989, on a small private island off the coast of Cartagena, Colombia. Each day, local children would paddle up in their handmade canoes, offering freshly caught fish and lobsters — a humble yet powerful gesture of daily life.
This young boy, arriving solo with a single fish and a steady gaze, left a lasting impression. His canoe was worn, his presence quiet yet striking.
More than just a travel memory, this image captures a fleeting but meaningful connection — the kind that stays with you far beyond the journey itself.

Bogotá, Colombia – 1989.
Precision in motion. Rows of soldiers in ceremonial dress march in perfect unison through the capital’s streets, rifles shouldered, boots landing in rhythmic waves.
Shot from ground level, this frame captures the hypnotic flow of the military parade—legs in sync, shadows racing forward, and a curious crowd in the background watching history unfold.
This isn’t just a photo of soldiers. It’s a photo of timing, discipline, and the choreography of national pride.

Pride Scotia 2007, Pilrig Park, Edinburgh — and the firemen are bringing the drama.
This crash rescue demo was part public safety, part demolition derby — and entirely captivating. Faced with a simulated road traffic accident, our heroic team showed the crowd how to remove an injured passenger with maximum care… and minimal regard for the structural integrity of a 1990s Ford.
The roof? Gone. The side panels? Consider them optional. The message? If you’re trapped and handsome, help will come. And it may arrive in a helmet, gloves, and just enough swagger to keep spirits high.
Recipe :
200g Fresh strawberries
1 Orange
8 sponge fingers
1/2 cup marscapone
1/2 cup whipping cream
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup Orange Liqueur
2 tablespoons icing sugar
zest & juice the orange.
Chop up 200g fresh strawberries into pieces. Put a few aside for decorating the top, and marinade the rest in a mixture of 1/4 cup orange liqueur (I used Triple Sec) & half the fresh orange juice.
Make an orange cream, by mixing together the marscapone, orange zest & 1 tablespoon icing sugar.
Whip the cream with 1 tablespoon icing sugar.
Puree half the marinaded strawberries, and stir through the whipped cream.
Dip the sponge fingers in a mixture of milk, and remaining orange juice & liqueur.
Lay four sponge fingers in a dish, spread with half of the orange cream, then half the remaining marinaded strawberries, and then half the whipped cream. Repeat. Top with fresh strawberries.
