This is Drax (Superhero), our grand dog, who is part Shih Tzu and part Jack Russell Terrier. He is very affectionate and sometimes rambunctious, especially if there is food nearby. He loves sitting on comfortable chairs and is most certainly the ruler of our house!

Fresh homemade bread roll, speared onto a fork that is held in place with a woodworker's clamp, placed in front of a black background. Lit with my mobile phone torch. Blacks tweaked in Affinity, but very little needed.
I love the Rubix Cube and know I can make some letters out of the colors. I figured this looks like a T to me.

Rain was deeply needed when it finally came to Seattle this week, to tamp down wildfire smoke during unprecedented heat records.
If it hadn't been for also going on record this month as having the most hazardous air *in the world*, it would've felt like a beautiful summer with record-breaking heat lasting into fall. But we were advised not to even go outdoors during most of this dry heat wave. It was unbreathable and unsafe. Some wore masks inside their own homes. Knowing that things will likely only get worse in the coming years adds that much more gratitude for rain and the dependable beauty of autumn leaves.
Pelargonium commonly called geraniums or storksbills. Geranium is also the botanical name and common name of a separate genus of related plants, also known as cranesbills.

"On compte le muscari dans la liste des grands oubliés des dictionnaires des fleurs… En effet, rares sont les ouvrages et les articles qui s’intéressent à la symbolique de cette plante printanière. D’après nos recherches, le muscari serait tout de même associé à l’engagement amoureux. On l’utiliserait ainsi pour témoigner à la personne aimée de notre sérieux et/ou en prélude à un mariage.
S’il fallait traduire cela en un message, cela pourrait donner : « Je fais le serment de t’aimer et de t’épauler jusqu’à la fin de mes jours« , « Nous sommes faits l’un pour l’autre« , « Je veux passer le reste de ma vie à tes côtés » ou autre promesse romantique ET sincère !"
