Steve Jansen & Richard Barbieri - Closer Than I (Stone To Flesh)
I found this beautiful album for me born from the collaboration between Steve Jansen and Richard Barbieri, two of the four founders of Japan,
a British new wave band active from 1974 to 1982. David Sylvian (Steve's brother) and Mick Karn the other two components.
I have not found the lyrics of the song, so I don't know what it is about, but, knowing other music of these artists, I know that it will never be a very happy text. Let's say that they are artists who also show the darkness of the soul, without shame, like poets, painters, photographers.The combination of music, image and title seemed sufficient to me to choose it.
If you know the lyrics, I'd be grateful if you showed it to me.

The lack of rain has been hard on pronghorns too. This one is literally skin and bones. I sometimes wonder if I could organize a drop of alfalfa, but that isn't how it works. Mother Nature is a harsh mistress.

Finally got around to modifying my DYI flash diffuser today. My goal was to disperse the light just a little bit more even. I'm pretty happy with the results. It's a subtle difference but I am very particular about my photography.

Sarcophaga Bercaea. They differ from most flies in that they are ovoviviparous, opportunistically depositing hatched or hatching maggots instead of eggs on carrion, dung, decaying material, or open wounds of mammals, hence their common name.
