Why don't we write letters anymore? Why don't we call anymore? Sometimes I believe that emails, facebook and whatsapp are great, but they extincted some old fashioned truly adorable artifacts- Who didn't write or receive letters from friends during school when there were no phone flatrate?Who didn't have that old fashioned little books for all friends from school to sign in and write some stuff about themselves? Of course our digital networks are great, but they took the romantic out of communication. We don't chat to communicate anymore. We chat to pass the time. Why just pass the time away when you could do something that puts a smile on friends' face, that makes them feel loved, that doesn't just pass your time?
Reading the hard copy of www.express.de (our local tabloid) over breakfast last week, this ad forced itself upon me (you cannot not notice it):

At first I had the impression, that "Kleiderei", located at Venloer Strasse in Cologne-Ehrenfeld, was just another second hand / vintage shop, but it is not. Here people don´t buy but rent clothes. Flatrate!
Customers get "fresh" clothes every month - and sent the "used" ones back. They call it the "Neverending Wardrobe".
