Maybe not quite standing standing, but, well propped up. Note the ever-present bib.

This photo is a flashback to 5 grade because I'm pretty sure this is the exact boat that we road in to get there and back.

Purely typographic poster created for a Typography subject. Based on an assigned extrasensory perception we received, we were asked to design a poster for a new touring cultural festival. It was aimed at exploring the use of typography and its placement in compositional space as a way of meaning-making. My sense was Retrocognition. It translates to “backwards knowing” and essentially means having the ability to psychically obtain information about a place’s or person’s past. This poster design really hones in on the idea that a person with retrocognitive talents is able to receive, decode and translate knowledge from the past. I represented this process by having the festival title ‘Flashback’ blurring into a clear image as if they are receiving this ‘random’ knowledge and translating it into a clear message. These happy flowers have been very easy to grow.

People were calling the lady in white "Milly". I don't know who she is but probably one of the actresses. Maybe Emily Deschanel?

8. Ain't he sweet?, 10. Dor Dor and his pet, 17. Dor Dor greeted at the landing point, 19. As darkness falls, gloom intensifies...,

The day I visited Dor Dor...

We never considered him an early crawler. He never really crawled, actually. But he was certainly mobile. If he wasn't scooting around on his forearms, one or the other of us would be trudging him around somewhere. Sometimes we'd get a moment of respite by planting him in the bouncy chair.

Sarah isn't so passive, she always has to have her hands on something. That, and she's got someone to occupy her.

Michele, Amie and I after a few celebratory martinis on my actual birthday decided we needed a roommate group photo. We got REALLY creative.

Well - what a disappointment this was. Firstly we were shocked to find out that you were NOT allowed to take alcohol into the festival like we have done in previous years. They were even searching camping chair bags to check for contraband. They did not even ask to see the tickets/wristbands. People were drinking their wine/beer they had brought to last them through the day and evening one swig after another rather than leave it behind. The reason they gave for not allowing alcohol was people behave badly - but then they provided booze tents.. so that argument doesn't hold any weight. 70% of the toilets were out of order and the rest were out of toilet roll. Staff walking around in ordinary clothes to spot people who had managed to sneak booze past them... and then bring the heavies in to remove them from the event. No big screens this year - food - well it was too expensive and too mediocre. Next year... we will be doing something else as they are keeping their 'new' rules... save your £40 a ticket and do something else.

This is a between the scene photo of a few members the crew and director setting up on a 1977 film titled "Flashback" and released later as "Menace, La" (The Threat) starring Yves Montand, and fimed in the interior of British Columbia, and Vancouver area.
