My friend shredding his favorite trail last summer. That was an awesome day, it stayed in my mind as a bright memory and as a picture on this piece of paper. Time passes, memories fade, and we keep riding, building and cleaning trails. That is how we show our love to the trails in Slovakia (from Love your Trail Contest by Anthill Films)

Questo è il particolare di uno dei 16 quadri che compongono l'Infiorata 2008 che più ha colpito il mio sguardo per la diversificazione dei colori.
Much has changed in the overhaul of the museum a few years ago, but the train ride for kids is still there.
And I must've looked just like that boy in the front.

Shades of grey?
You ask.
Puzzled. In askance.
You wonder that
I like them!
I know I don’t
Need to explain-
But I’d like to share-
Maybe, then you’ll see them fair!
The grey in dawn-
The beginning of life;
That space between the
Eyelids and the eye
Before they open;
The softness of grey clouds-
Such a warm and cosy shelter
From the blinding sun.
Deeper grey- storm clouds:
Harbingers of the elixir of life;
Spreading to the grey drops
That fill and surge and quench
The Earth!
The colour of Grief
Which resounds only
In a heart that loves;
The colour of possibilities
Unnamed and innumerable;
The hue of ash,
That makes a man of a Son
And a woman of a Daughter.
It is the grey
That defines-
In more ways
Than I can tell you-
More than all the
Whites and Blacks;
For it carries
Both
In generous balance-
Black and White
To the Grey of
Experience!
Since I just posted a bunch of pics of the SP tunnel motor on the CF&E, I thought I'd flashback to the last time I saw a true SP unit lead. In May 2009 an unpatched SP GP60 led a baretable train from Global 1 to Yard Center. Here we see it crossing the diamonds at Dolton as it approaches its destination. Thanks to everyone for the heads up on this one!
The sun prepares to go down, a mysterious nostalgia fills the air, and the most dramatic color ever seen hits the horizon ... you know tomorrow will be another sunshine ... but for a moment .... time stops ... a deep sadness fills your soul ... and it seems the sun is going down to never come back again
