Once upon a very kinky Halloween…

She lit the candles, slipped into shiny black, and waited to be wrapped up like a sweet, sinful surprise. 🍬✨

This red tape vixen still gives us chills—in all the right ways. Bound in glossy crimson from heels to wrists, gagged and blindfolded beneath candlelight, she was the perfect Halloween centerpiece. ️

Witchy? Yes. Willing? Definitely. Wrapped tighter than a mummy? Always.

Me, my Mum and my little brother. Mini skirts and black coffee !

This was summer 1981. I believe I was 11 years old at the time.

If you're a baseball fan, you know that was a strike year. But, we were all about the Oakland A's even then. The team was playing "Billy Ball" under the helm of Billy Martin. Billy had been fired in '79 from the Yankees for the second time. He ended up in his hometown of Oakland to lead a team to a surprising second place finish. He did it on the strength of his starting pitchers who completed an incredible 94 games in 1980. In '81, they would get to the playoffs where they would lose to the Yankees.

So, you'll notice my cousin Jose's hat with the "Billy Ball" logo. I think we all got 'em. He was heading back home to San Diego that day after spending a few weeks with us during the summer. That summer was a blast as we did EVERYTHING - water slides, Disneyland, baseball games (including the minor league San Jose team), camping and more. Really just a fun summer all around.

FYI, this McDonald's was built near a local Piper style airport in San Jose so it took on that motif when it was opened. It lasted for awhile but I think they converted it to standard MickeyD's stylings in the 90s.

Have a good weekend!

Flashback Friday. Just another wave of photos that I am in love with so I retouched with my touch of mohochrome.

This was possibly my best Halloween costume ever - a T. Rex. I think I'm 4 years old here. Note the amazing Picasso wallpaper in our house.

SMU15 #flashbackfriday: Residing strategically in Singapore’s buzzing arts and heritage belt, SMU is a firm supporter of the development of creative potential. In September 2005, SMU first hosted the Singapore Art Show, displaying sculptures and other works of art by Singaporean artists all over our campus. This paved the way to host subsequent art events, notably the Singapore Biennale since 2006. Find out more about SMU's milestones at bit.ly/1vgd15G and take a walk down memory lane with us! #sgSMU15

i think you can tell that my obsession with making sure things had a 'theme' or matched up started early. rhinestone collar, minnetonka mocassins with rhinestones, purple ombre socks...

the doo-doo brown thing? that's a hearing aid. it was the most awful thing ever- not that it helped me much but other than being conspicious it had really loud feedback every time i smiled or laughed. made wearing it really fun, i tell ya.

Throwing it way back with this unforgettable feline fantasy 🐾✨

Our gorgeous bondage kitty was one of the originals—latex-clad, laced tight, and chained at the collar. Whether she was kneeling sweetly with her paws up, crawling to her bowl, or curled up purring after a long day of play, she made submission look like a lifestyle. 💋

From high-heeled mischief to milk-bowl obedience, she knew how to keep her tail in line and her place on the leash.

Who remembers this purrfect pet?

SMU15 #flashbackfriday: SMU’s tradition of hosting the Singapore Biennale started in 2006. Our Campus Green served as the ‘nerve centre' for the art festival, housing its Information Centre, Media Centre and Gift Shop, designed by award-winning Japanese architect Shigeru Ban. For SMU’s many contributions to the development of Singapore's arts scene in 2006, we were the first autonomous university in Singapore to receive the Friend of the Arts award!
