Eighty cylinders worth of nice-looking EMD SD45s drum past with a southbound Wisconsin Central freight just north of Duplainville, Wisconsin, on a cold, wintery January 31, 1996.
Advent. Every year it is celebrated with fireworks. What's more, while the fireworks are doing its job, the winner song of Eurovision is played. One Swedish friend told me once why, but I cannot remember, if someone knows please comment.

I was there, and captured this event on Kodachrome film. 45 years later, it still seems like a dream. Five big Rio Grande SD45s pull a westbound merchandise train through Provo, Utah as the sun goes down on June 9, 1977. D&RGW rostered 26 of these 3600 horsepower pullers, delivered by EMD between Jan. 1967 and May 1968. Lead engine 5340 was the last unit of the series.

Die Oranienburger Straße gehört zu den bekanntesten Flaniermeilen in Berlin und bietet zahlreiche Sehenswürdigkeiten aber auch viele Bars und Restaurants. Vor allem am Abend ist die "Oranienburger" ein beliebter Treffpunkt für Touristen und Einheimische. Hier finden wie die Neue Synagoge, den Monbijoupark oder den Tacheles.
Ob am Tag oder in der Nacht reicht der Blick bis zur Fernsehturm am Alexanderplatz.

I was out at Battery Park in New Castle shooting at sunrise. Reaching my car, about to go home, I saw this beautiful scene. Right away I knew exactly how I wanted to edit and present the image. Needless to say I am happy with the result.
