Cormorant flapping its wings to dry them while standing on a sewage pipe in the River Tay just east of the mouth of the Dighty Burn where it enters the River Tay at Balmossie as the tide came in. It had been swimming under water resurfacing 10-20 meters from where it had dived.

I have a love of birds, and something about this shot really intrigues me a great deal. I love the extension of his right wing, individual feathers are visible, and that they're transparent.
The shot was taken with a manual focusing and metering 135mm nikkor lens, along with a TC 200 teleconverter. If I remember correctly it was shot at 1/100 shutter speed
