i was going to try to save the floor but after 4 hours of soaking and scrubbing with no progress i scrapped that idea. good thing too because the subfloor was completely rotten under the shower. the inspection caught some of that but once we got the floor up we saw just how bad it really was.

Frank DeLima Autograph, signed poster and toilet. This was found on 139 North Market street Wailuku Maui Hawaii. I think it is very funny that Franks signed poster in Kanji and in cursive is hung just below the flusher, the toilet bowl.

I'm always flabbergasted at the sight of this house--an oddly proportioned beige mega-McMansion of late-1980s/early-1990s vintage raised up above a new ground-level in a project that's been stalled for years, it seems--every time I pass by it on the old Highway 99. The MLS listing for this property provide scant details besides the price of $390,000 and that it is zoned commercial and no longer suitable for residential use. It definitely looks like a live/work situation for someone who hates to commute but doesn't mind if everyone else commutes. This property is just a smidge more than an acre sandwiched between this fast section of the old Highway 99 and I-5 just past the back property line.
This place apparently began as someone's ambitious dreamhouse.

there was no way i could ever clean this place up so we just gutted the whole thing. i say we but it was really my dad mostly. i was a very good assistant though and helped with all the hard labor under his watchful eye. i was also the creative director and he did all his work under my watchful eye. it worked out well.
Glad to see that this beautiful old house is getting the love it needs. Hopefully they will retain the heritage, and not add yet another cement block to the neighborhood..
