It is amazing to see how people squeeze their new homes on any property they can acquire along the shoreline. This home is tall, thin and staggered to fit on this small piece of land on Georgian Bay. I thought it was cute how the trees barely try to hide the home from the busy road. They obviously love the colour red!

Cutting a steel plate to fit on a railcar undergoing restoration at Niles Canyon Railway maintenance facility near Sunol, California.
Here's a second from my "Zebra grass series" as a part of a larger camera painting series of grasses, leaves, various other plant parts, and some non-bio subjects. My bike light with a snoot produced a narrow, directed light that simply grazes the subject - critical for this kind of photography. I prefer to use "bulb" vs a set shutter speed. Since I adapt the shutter speed to match my movement and flow, this approach fits well with "camera painting". I'll post some more and you can provide some thoughts. Best.

This is a close-up of a piece of fabric tape that was stuck over some plastic sheeting to cover a broken window on a boat moored on Kingston riverbank.
This tiny "Beautiful Baby Bunny" was seen near the Aloe Trail at the Los Angeles County Arboretum. It could fit in the palm of my hand - so cute.

Macro Monday - Squared circle
Looking down on a poppy seed head. At first I wasn't keen on this theme but then had a few ideas. This was my first idea and the one I felt worked the best, I may work on some of the other ideas when I have more time. I rarely do a square crop. I wanted a shallow depth of field to blur out the background but wonder if I should have had more sharpness on the seed head. HMM
Apologies for getting behind with commenting, once again. We've been quite busy. Our grandson has been visiting, with his parents. We've stayed in the garden and been socially distancing...not easy for a two year old to understand. We've also had zoom chats and quizzes with family and friends, vet visits with Bruno so the time seems to be disappearing. I hope to catch up soon.
