I watched this fisherman for couple of minutes. He was definitely enjoying his early morning activity. Also, interesting company above him, he had.

High tide yesterday at Kilnsea . These sea rokes are annoying 😆👌

Off Mulinetti, under the fading twilight of the Gulf of Paradise, a fisherman steers his small blue boat into the night. The nets await to be collected with their precious cargo, among the gentle waves, while the sea breathes in its slow, ancient rhythm. A daily ritual, suspended between silence, labor, and wonder.

On the shores of Koh Rong Island, Cambodia, the atmosphere thickens under a dramatic sky. A large piece of driftwood rests on the sand, a blue boat floats quietly near the shore, and a small red building hides among the trees. The clouds above hint at a tropical storm—either just passed or about to arrive. The scene is still, yet charged with tension. The contrast between the peaceful beach and the heavy sky captures the rhythm of island life shaped by weather, forest, and sea.

🇬🇧 Under a heavy sky, a fisherman stands at the edge of the sea, his feet in the foam, net in hand. Behind him, a small boat with its engine off waits silently. Further away, a lone figure balances on a canoe at the horizon.

The gesture, simple and ancestral, seems suspended in time — between the sea and silence.

One man and his boat as the rest of the world just carry on

This photo was taken in August 1989, on a small private island off the coast of Cartagena, Colombia. Each day, local children would paddle up in their handmade canoes, offering freshly caught fish and lobsters — a humble yet powerful gesture of daily life.

This young boy, arriving solo with a single fish and a steady gaze, left a lasting impression. His canoe was worn, his presence quiet yet striking.

More than just a travel memory, this image captures a fleeting but meaningful connection — the kind that stays with you far beyond the journey itself.

Diver getting back on board

As it turns out, November is not the best month of the year to visit Lofoten. I admit that we had some very dull days that were more suitable to a good book by the fire or a cozy winter nap. Nevertheless, I was enchanted by the moody late autumn/early winter scenery. Fishing huts at Hamnoy, just below the iconic bridge scene.
