Fishing is exactly what it looks like this clematis seedhead is doing and fishing is what it felt like I was doing as these weightless seeds danced in front of my camera lens with every hint of a breeze.
Many minutes and leg cramps later I finally caught one fish (photo) that I didn't have to throw back into the water - harrumph!
This Osprey has caught a nice sized fish and is making to a spot where it can enjoy it's squirming catch of the day. I saw this Osprey perched in a tree overlooking this bit of water and knew what it was about to do and just waited for it.

Today is the Eve of the Chinese Lunar New Year. Tonight all over the world Chinese will gather with their families (including this household) to share a reunion dinner. Gong Xi Fa Cai to all.
St' Ives harbour is always full of colourful fishing boats and the light for photography is stunning.
Hoping to catch the big one...
Taken a few years back on the South Pier at dawn, a popular spot for the anglers. Plenty of 10 to 20-pound King Salmon are caught in the Sheboygan River, which empties into Lake Michigan.
Pretty amazing that the guy fishing there did not move during the sunrise long exposure along the Susquehanna River.
