The image shows the village of Reine in the Lofoten Islands, Norway, on a winter morning during sunrise. Despite heavy cloud cover, parts of the sky are lit by faint sunlight. Snow-covered mountains dominate the background, and the water surface appears calm. Along the shoreline, traditional wooden houses and a fish processing facility are visible, reflecting the local infrastructure.

Reedville is an unincorporated town in Northumberland County in the Northern Neck region of Virginia. It is located at the head of Cockrell's Creek on the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay. Print Size 13x19 inches.

Dry fish is locally called ‘Shutki’. In winter, many fishermen catch fish mainly to make dry fish. But traditional drying methods are used in the absence of a modern dry fish preservation facility. Most of time they dry fish under sun; these dried fish can bring them profit by exporting them.

William Lever, 1st Viscount Leverhulme, bought the Isle of Harris in 1920. Lever, known as The King of Sunlight, founded Lever Brothers with his brother. He established a large-scale fishing industry in the town, better known as An t-Òb up until then. A protracted land dispute arose between Lever and the islanders following the First World War. Following Lever's death in 1925 the company sold the estate for £300 and the fishing business for £5,000. It's reckoned that Lever had spent £500,000 on the entire project.
