Gastineau Channel and Douglas Island as seen through the Zuiko 8mm fisheye lens. Also seen in this picture are the Diamond Princess and Norwegian Pearl.
I saw 8 barns on M31, the road that runs from Traverse City to Petoskey, Michigan. The first three times I passed them, the light was terrible so I made the trip back early one morning when the sun was out, and found them all again!
Galton Bridge and the New Main Line. I'd photographed this pylon before, but tried it this time with the 9mm bodycap lens. In the past, I'd seen distortion I didn't want; this time, the distortion was what I was looking for, though an errant raindrop has spoilt the image.
More tests using higher aperture to manage focus and edge resolution (which has been less than great in some photos)
My fisheye lens is composed of four components;
1. 200 degree door peep hole
2. 1.25" to .5" reducer
3. 1.25" coupler
4. Single sided adhesive foam insulation for pipes.
All can be had for just around $20 at your nearest home improvement store.

Just got myself a new Sigma 10mm f/2.8 fisheye, and was testing it out. I wanted to see how much distortion there would be with a car. Eeek, a bit much, but the lens will be great for car interiors and party/club shots.

HDR with photomatix and tone mapping
combination 6 images, exposure of 6 diff areas

6 -darkest
photomatix result produced bad noise on end image
PS work
-desaturate to tone down peleng's orange/red cast
-burn dodge
-sharpen unmask
Experience with Lens
had problem with focusing on the peleng and with its hyperfocus, could not get it to hyperfocus
lens produced very saturated orangey cast
would denoise if had noise ninja
Light condition was challenging with extreme contrasty light
with at least
12 stops difference
