I walk the dog here so often, but one day was lucky to have the 8mm attached, and decided to spend some time with this gorgeous blue bug.

"Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature. I firmly believe that nature brings solace in all troubles."

I hadn't been able to use my old Walimex 8mm fisheye since I went full frame (it produces a truncated circular image) but acquiring a second hand APS-C body led me to get it out of the drawer.

Fatty, who's not actually fat, decided to "zoom in" on me as I was about to snap her photo. Not sure if this was a lens I was using or an app. Came across this one as I was culling photos today.

It does not get taken out often but with limitations on what was allowed to go up Lift 109 in Battersea Power Station (that is up the righthand chimney shown above) I put on the small Nikon fisheye lens to save weight and no tripod. The result is some interesting images from the Light Festival and around the newly opened interior of the Power Station plus the blue hour in this image. For the sharp eyed folks that is steam coming out of the lefthand chimney - probably condensate from some boilers to heat the building.
From the top of the chimney the lift becomes the viewing pod for a grand view over London.
The hundreds of people queuing , lots more inside, were buying a discounted watch from the Swatch shop, and not the queue for the toilets as I first thought !!
