A fisheye view of the weekend S.M.A.R.T. Train #1 arriving back into Downtown Pelaluma, CA. This train started its day at Sonoma County Airport Platform heading West (Compass South) at 10:13 A.M. This trainset is halfway through it's return roundtrip, with another roundtrip later in the day to go.

Rokinon 8mm f/3.5 fisheye on a Sony NEX-5n. Used lens correction in Lightroom to see what would happen. Used the Nikon 10.5mm fisheye profile and worked out pretty nice. Stretched the edges out a little but otherwise a rather straight picture.

This is another experiment using a 160 degree optical door peephole in front of my camera lens to produce a "poor man's" fisheye effect. This time I made a simple adapter to mount the peephole in front of my 55mm Micro-Nikkor lens on my Canon 350D camera body. Imaged on May 31, 2008, in rural upstate Columbia County, NY, USA. Camera: Canon 350D and Pre-AI Micro-Nikkor 55mm f3.5 lens and 160 degree optical door peephole plus Fotodiox Nikon mount to Canon mount adapter ring, hand held, manually focused, manual mode, with available ambient light.

An image taken using a 4.5mm fisheye lens pointed straight up. Taken about an hour or so before sunrise.
The sky was just starting to become blue and some sunrise colours were appearing.

This is the 2nd lomo cam I bought. I find this better than the fisheye 1 which i also had but i sold to get this one. The chrome finish makes it look sexy as well as chic. I love the viewfinder bec you get to see what it looks like as a fisheye shot.
