In a corner of Walden Pond, on a morning when the water is warmer than the air temperature -- the morning sun hits the foggy surface while a man waits for his first catch.
Its Eagle season along the Fox River in Illinois. On the morning these three shots were taken we were blessed with -5 F temperatures. Most of the river was frozen, leaving a small space for eagles and other predators to find food. We counted 13-15 eagles in a roughly 2 mile stretch of river. Captured my first ever fish catch as well. It could be sharper but at 400 yards away, I'll take it. Kudos to those wildlife photographers who nab the ultra sharp shots!
Ironically Tippi Hedren of Hitchcock's "The Birds" was signing autographs at the Tides down the road. Only one other photographer was watching this spectacle with me.
He came from nowhere, caught the fish, turned and turned the fish for about 20 minutes till the fish head was inside the beak and then swallowed it! Captured @ Debera Wewa, Tissamaharama - Sri Lanka

Have a great week everyone!
The composition here is fantastic the bird focused on its catch, no distractions, just the quiet aftermath of the hunt.
Þarna er verið að hífa, trollið fast í botninum. Skipið fer þá aftur á bak og með skut uppí báru og vind. Þá koma svona læti stundum. Þetta lagast strax ástandið þegar trollið losnar frá botni. Tek það fram að engum stafaði hætta af þessu. Sjóararnir síkátu biðu framundir í skjóli. (Svona smá skýring fyrir landkrabba)
There's been hauling the gear, which is stuck at the bottom. The ship then goes backwards and with a stern against wave and wind. Then there is such a splash in temporarily time. This immediately improved the situation when the gear is released from the bottom. Take it out, no danger posed by this. Sailors were waiting in the shelter.
