Children at Baichao Primary School in Guangyuan Prefecture. Their school was reconstructed with support from the Red Cross Society of China after being damaged in the earthquake and now they are living in a brand new dormitory building too. In a remote and mountainous area such as this, the process of rebuilding has naturally taken longer. In 2010, some of the children’s families were still living in tents. But they have all been rehoused now. Some of their families live in a nearby village where an American Red Cross-supported water project is being built to pipe clean and safe drinking water into villagers’ houses for the first time.

My friend's finger was hurt, so we had to bandage her finger. The way her hand lays near her heart causes an impression of being hurt physically and emotionally. That's the way the title came to my mind.

Gooseneck light. Has a surprisingly bright led light at the end of a bendable neck, along with a pocket clip, and red laser pointer. The magnet on the end is strong enough to support the light, as shown here with it stuck to the side of an antique typewriter.
