they watched a scary movie earlier in the day. after they went to bed in their separate bedrooms, we could hear sequoia calling "i'm scared" down the hallway. later in the evening we discovered that nick had joined his little brother to keep him from feeling scared.

It must be Fall for its cooler and rainy the last couple days and I've thrown the black background over the closet door again . . . trying out the speedlight again after a Summer of mostly available light. Truth be told I'm a bit discourage by the combination of little time for photography these days and little if any perceived progress in the cultivation of this my favorite hobby. But nobody wants to hear me whine . . .
