So after going through the HMD Standards for figures, we had a formula not quite good enough. I can assume you guys know who I am talking about. For Firefly's update, I gave him new armor, brick built wings, and a new torso.

the weather wasn't good tonight. Because of the rain poured steadily down and the temperatures only 13 Celsius degrees.

Photographing the fireflies from the porch was hard last night with the moon shining so brightly. I did manage to get quite a few.
I did replace the streak that was the moon with a separate shot that I took with a long lens.
I found a little faery living among my water lilies, her name is Cricket. She glows in the dark and I am completely in love with her!
She is a Charles Creature Cabinet Firefly Faery Fidelia.

I simply love this song, and it has stuck in my mind for a few days now. :D

A dark road, almost completely enclosed by trees, held a spectacular display of light. Where gaps in the trees did exist, the strong moonlight shone through to light up the road. This is about 16 minutes of fireflies, taken in Tuscany, Italy.
The experience of just standing there, watching them and walking around among them was amazing.
I have a friend who lives in the Maryland countryside.
Once, when visiting, shortly after dark she gave me a flashlight and told me to follow her down her long road, and not to look up till she said so.
So, I looked at the ground the whole way down. At the bottom she said ok, turn off the light and look up.
All around us, the whole woodland was lit with fireflies. There must have been tens of thousands of them.....on every tree trunk, limb, branch and twig, every shrub, sprinkling the in-between spaces.
In the air, flying up till they showered the night, like stars that had fallen from the sky and were dancing all around us.
This isn't them......but it looked like this, even more so.
It was some enchanted evening I'll always remember.
I'll be off visiting friends for a few days.
