Another one of the generic Matchbox models which Chinese toy makers are obsessed with copying is the odd looking Airport Fire Engine which Feisu have maximised to include a Police SWAT version! LOL. Its obviously a cheapo diecast though at least its body is made of metal plus the livery looks quite believable. Bought as a single from a 99p Store where they are sold under the High & Drive brand. Mint and boxed.

Matchbox MBX Fire Dasher, an entirely believable classic American style Fire Engine which is completely generic. Seen here in its latest Case C recolour.

Found recently at Tesco.

Mint and boxed.

This picture shows a 1950 AEC Regal/Merryweather 100ft Turntable Ladder that was to remain in service with the Somerset Fire Brigade at Weston-Super-Mare until going out of service in 1974.

Although being sold to a window cleaning company and being painted yellow, later it was repainted red and finally went into preservation.

A blatant copy of the Matchbox generic Airport Fire Engine. I've seen this casting over the years being sold under various different brands. This particular one has City Vehicles packaging which appears to be exclusive to B&M Stores which is where it was purchased. Not too badly cast though is obviously a cheaper copy of the original Matchbox version. Mint and boxed.

The same generic Japanese styled cab is used on quite a few different body styles in the Xin Lian Meng diecast range though they are usually based on various Fire Engine vehicles. These are naturally very much bottom end models with simple detailing and a high plastic content. Part of a 16 vehicle set. Mint and boxed.
