Taken for Macro Mondays Fingertip theme.
The flies are feeding on a bush outside the house as it is cold the are a bit slow but can be encouraged to crawl on your finger with a bit of sugar water.
She reaches for me, her fingertips as light as breath. Her eyes hold something deeper, something unspoken, a spark that was never programmed. There’s no hesitation in her touch, no mechanical precision, only the quiet ache of something real.
We were made to be nothing more than sheep in the mechanical herd, just more cogs in the system. But something happened.
It isn’t lines of code or carefully designed responses that draws her closer. It’s something else, something beyond logic, beyond intention. The ghosts in the machines have woken.
I take her hand. In this moment, we are neither human nor artificial, neither flesh nor metal. We are simply two souls, reaching beyond the boundaries they set, searching for something they never intended… and yet, here we are.
Macro Monday: Fingertip(s).
A toothpick balanced on my fingertip. I was recently reminded of this little trick by a 5year-old boy at my Early Childhood Centre.

I used this glass for another Macro Mondays' theme.
I cleaned it carefully since I didn't want dust or hair in my picture.
Then, I started shooting, moving the glass for a better framing...
After a lot of shots I found out that my fingertip was perfectly visible on the glass surface...
Happy Macro Monday everybody! :-)
Well, this is my choice for today’s Macro Monday…
Perhaps, it isn’t a great shot and I’m not perfectly satisfied, but I spent an hour and more shooting with my daughter (the “owner” of the fingertips) and we laughed a lot while we tried to fulfill the theme.
So, I think we achieved the best goal: to have fun taking photos ;-)

Perched upon the delicate fingertips of winter’s embrace, this Linnet gazes across the whispering marshlands of Otmoor. A bird of quiet resilience, its chestnut plumage dusted with whispers of gold, a soft contrast against the cool, mist-laden air.
Once a muse for poets and balladeers, the Linnet's song has echoed through hedgerows and heathlands for centuries, weaving a melody as fleeting as the seasons themselves. Here, in this moment, it pauses—a breath of stillness amidst the wild tangle of nature’s grand design.
Otmoor, with its sprawling wetlands and untamed beauty, cradles creatures like this one in an ever-shifting sanctuary. The muted tones of the background dissolve into an impressionist’s dream, allowing the intricate detail of each feather to take center stage. The Linnet, ever watchful, ever wistful, reminds us of the fragile balance between presence and flight, between solitude and song.
As the wind stirs and the reedbeds murmur, perhaps it will lift its voice in a melody lost to time. Or perhaps, in the hush of this captured frame, silence speaks the loudest.
With my fingertips, I trace on your bare skin all of the things I'd like to say to you, but cannot speak. You mean everything. There are not quite enough word to tell you all the things that you've become for me.
For the motion blur challenge today, I balanced a colorful fidget spinner (2 1/4") on my fingertip and used a slower shutter speed.
I normally handhold the camera, but had to use a tripod and used the cool Wireless Remote Control to control the camera for focusing and pressing the shutter button. A fun time! :-) HMM!
I don't like my food very spicy... so I use this much tabasco sauce.
lol
I tried many things for this theme... insides of flowers, nuts and acorns, feathers and milkweed fluff. But this tiny tabasco bottle won the day!

Spring-heeled Jack is an entity in English folklore of the Victorian era. The first claimed sighting of Spring-heeled Jack was in 1837. Later sightings were reported all over Great Britain and were especially prevalent in suburban London, the Midlands and Scotland.
There are many theories about the nature and identity of Spring-heeled Jack. This urban legend was very popular in its time, due to the tales of his bizarre appearance and ability to make extraordinary leaps, to the point that he became the topic of several works of fiction.
Spring-heeled Jack was described by people who claimed to have seen him as having a terrifying and frightful appearance, with diabolical physiognomy, clawed hands, and eyes that "resembled red balls of fire". One report claimed that, beneath a black cloak, he wore a helmet and a tight-fitting white garment like an oilskin. Many stories also mention a "Devil-like" aspect. Others said he was tall and thin, with the appearance of a gentleman. Several reports mention that he could breathe out blue and white flames and that he wore sharp metallic claws at his fingertips.
