Looking over Uxavatn to Skjaldbreiður. Geographically already in the Highlands although still accessible with a 2WD.
This is the seed stage of that horrendous Borage plant that's in my front garden. Be careful when handling these, not sure if I mentioned this before but I am allergic to the fluid in the spines, causing dermatitis and apparently it's relatively common, however that said it's a very photogenic plant when you explore it fully and a treasure for macro such as this.

1937 Talbot Lago T150C SS. In brief, the car was the brainchild of Anthony Lago, who collaborated with highly respected coachbuilder Joseph Figoni. The foundation was Lago's ultimate sporting chassis, T150-C-SS, that debuted at the 1936 Paris salon. According to portions of the auction catalog, it:
...was powered by a new 4-liter 140 hp engine equipped with three carburetors and a light-alloy hemi cylinder head. The low-slung, short-wheelbase chassis, virtually identical to the company’s competition cars, featured independent transverse leaf-spring front suspension, an underslung rear axle, Rudge knock-off wire wheels, a single-shot lubrication system, and a massive 120-liter fuel tank. Intended for custom coachwork, the T150-C-SS was sold as a bare chassis; with a list price of 78,000 francs, it competed directly with the likes of the Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 and Bugatti Type 57S...According to various sources, Figoni et Falaschi built between 10 and 12 Teardrop Coupes on Talbot-Lago’s ultimate T150-C-SS chassis. These Coupe bodies were built in two distinct variations. The first featured a notchback design and was named Coupé Jeancart, after the customer who first commissioned the body style. The second version, featuring a fastback design, was unveiled at the 1937 New York International Auto Show and fittingly named Modéle New York.

In some senses, however, it refers to a finished photograph of a subject that is greater than life size.

This New Holland Honeyeater was one of many visitors to this soft green bush (I don't know what its official name is), and they were enjoying the fact that our garden "rainwave" sprinkler was soaking the leaves, and the honeyeaters would slowly roll down through the bush to get wet and cool off on what was a very hot day. This one had just arrived and was still dry and pristine looking.
