Another card for the summer card camp color challenge this week. I also wanted to make a card for the Hero Arts summer theme challenge. My summers were spent riding around on my bicycle, so this stamp set and the colors seemed like a good match!
I wanted to mention that for the grass under the bike I rubbed on shabby shutters ink, then took a rough sponge and dabbed on a darker green to give a bit more texture to the grass.
Stamps: Hero arts Bicycles and Find Joy
cardstock: recollections
ink: distress ink in shabby shutters and dried marigold, stampin up pumpkin pie marker, and Marvy Matchables markers in dark green and brown.
ribbon: maya road
My son Bobbie (oops Robert) turned 29 on Monday. I decided to make him a special card with of a photo taken on his birthday over 20 years ago.
(Without me knowing, he ended up spending his birthday on Monday, on the same ski hill as on the photo.)
I used my newest Hero Arts greetings (love those) - clear set Find Joy CL497

This used a simple mask to make a horizon line....don't know if that'll count for the technique challenge! The colors were inspired by all the gorgeous sunrises we've been enjoying lately.
Hope you like my little take on heartfelt wishes! Sponged the sky and 'ground' areas using a mask made out of torn post it notes.
Then just stamped the little hearts with three different colors of pink/red. The two hearts beside the sentiment are covered with stickles. TFL!
Experimenting with the Large Blossom and glossy cardstock, distress ink and heat embossing with clear ep!
Shiny stuff!!
I just received this sizzix/ha set yesterday and had to make something with it. Plus I got the new distress ink colors in too, so I used the new brown ink titled 'gathered twigs' on this one. I haven't had a chance to stamp recently, so I had a great time!
stamp: antique flowers & butterflies; find joy
ink: distress ink in scattered straw and gathered twigs; blender pen by stampin' up to fill in the yellow center on the brown flowers
I don't usually make anything other than a standard size card, so this was a little change for me.
I used the acrylic block smash technique for the circle background piece. Instead of ink though, I used a gelato and a metallic pitt artist pen. They both made a nice metallic sheen that this photograph doesn't pick up on at all. Ah well!
TFL!
stamps: all hero arts: find joy set, sweet threads thank you set
cardstock: georgia pacific
ink: pink gelato, pink metallic pitt artist pen, green stampers big brush marker

This was stamped with versamark and embossed with white ep. A few pearls, and viola! Simple and quick.
TFL!
My husband isn't too much of lovey-dovey type, but I do like to let him know how much I care about him so I think this will make for a good valentine's day card. Very simple...all stamps from the find joy clear set and the ink is old paper distress ink and going gray by SU for the heart.
I used stickles over the stamped heart and a stardust gelly roll pen over the leaves. FInally, used a white gelly roll pen for the 'stiches'.
TFL!
