Tasha Cohan ’11 and Nikki Heyman ’12 talk to current Oberlin students about how they have manage their careers as independent filmmakers since graduation.
Cohan and Heyman's visit was sponsored by the Alumni Association's Alumni in Service to Oberlin College (ASOC) program. ASOC was established four decades ago to help departments, programs, and student groups bring alumni back to campus to lecture and meet with current students and other members of the community.

Each of the back walls have their own photo murals to give the sense that a producer actually spent money to put a bunch of crap into the facade to make it look less fake. On film, it looks great, but in person, not so much.
Here is a film crew rigging a car to mount cameras on it so that they can shoot a scene in the moving car.
On April 21st, the Chapter Youth Council hosted a Taco Filmmaking Festival. Club members from around the region created short films about the five lines of service and enjoyed a taco bar!
michael watching playback. in the background is duel's mischief-making little brother (can't remember his name). in the foreground are storyboards for the film. one of my jobs as michael's assitant was to create a daily sort of visual schedule with the storyboard pictures that i would distribute to the department heads every morning.
