The Revera and Reel Youth Age is More Film Project is an intergenerational partnership between Revera, a Canadian leader in seniors' accommodation, care and services, and Reel Youth, a charitable project that empowers youth to create engaging films about important social issues. The partnership was launched in 2013.

With 80 films to date, the program celebrates older Canadians through story-telling and film, with the added benefit of fostering new intergenerational relationships. The project aims to shed light on ageism, challenge the assumptions of aging and recognize the valuable contributions of older adults to society.

Media Arts Center San Diego (MACSD), in partnership with San Diego Foundation, is celebrating the completion of an intensive filmmaking fellowship program for 12 local youth filmmakers called “THROUGH OUR LENS.” The program asked participants to create short films highlighting local expanded learning initiatives, or after-school opportunities for K-12 students that enhance educational standards and introduce alternative methods of instruction that create well-rounded, civically engaged, and resourceful students. Themes covered in the videos include community sustainability and accountability, environmentalism, music, dance, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).

The previous set was an attic, which is why the flats look like wood and the floor is painted to look like a wooden floor.

Ben Leader as "Charlie Randall-Smith". Footage shot with Panasonic HVX200 on HD 24p outfitted with PS2 mini35 adapter and Zeiss superspeed lenses. This is originally a two shot with the character's brother, Chris, who exited the frame to make a phone call.

These are screenshots from a recent music video I shot, ungraded original 5K screenshots taken on my RED Epic "Lucy". Shot on Zeiss Cp2 prime lenses.

When they built this backlot, I'm guessing the set decorator thought it appropriate to suggest that there was a basement to this apartment complex, in case any of the crime detective shows have a character that lives out of their parent's basement and watches the Cartoon Network all day while sharpening box cutters and collecting photographs of celebrities in a drawer.

#AprilLove2015, Day 21: A Happy Memory

I think our smiles say it all in this one.

Taken on November 23, 2012, we had just wrapped up the shoot for George Macapagal's "Imaginarium" and we were ready to celebrate with some Army/Navy burritos at IT Park (Cebu City, Philippines).

This was it! This was the crew.

Looking back though, it had only ever been happy memories with these guys. Can't wait to work with you again soon!

Chasing a simple life is never easy.

Ken was the manager of a steel powder coating plant until, at the age of 44, he felt an overwhelming need to do something more worthwhile - to be more involved with his community. He applied for a job at Cerebral Palsy Alliance and got it. That was 15 years ago and that’s where he began caring for Ange.

Ange has cerebral palsy, is in a wheelchair and cannot talk. Both Ken and Ange appear in one of carecareers' TV advertisements.
