Digital may be quicker and less painful, but there are few simple pleasures in life that equal the feeling of seeing your freshly developed chromes come to life on a light table for the first time. Discovering if all the thought that went into making the pictures on that roll was worth it. And seeing when you hit the occasional home run. There's nothing like it in the digital world.

Tomorrow is her last meet of the season - State finals! This is the big kahuna, the climax, the culmination of 10.5 hours a week of training (ya ok that is kind of low)! Not every kid gets that far. It's hard to believe that her first gymnastics lesson ever was only 10 months ago. Since then, she's managed to podium on every meet, even winning her first ever competition. Next season she moves up to level 4. May she ever reach for the skies.
