Macro Mondays: Fill the Frame

(The complete reel here is just over 1 inch (2.54cm)

A couple of weeks ago I bought a new parasol for the garden. I looked out of the kitchen window this morning and it was covered water droplets. (Raining in London). I stood on a garden chair and took a few shots with my mobile phone. While on the chair I thought that it would be interesting to give the parasol a gentle tap. The water efficiently cascaded off the surface all over me!!!!

Note to self....Engage brain before doing that again!!!!!!

You have a good day.

Thanks for visiting......

For Flickr Friday's #purple theme

This is quite obviously (at least, I hope so!) purple! But I've always found it interesting that flowers described as 'blue' are quite often more purpley, as true blues are difficult to find in the floral world.

I don't like to use flowers for 'colour' themes as a rule. But these beautiful 'blue' asters are at their best in my garden at the moment, and they really were lending themselves to a bit of ICM play. Whilst I have been known to add radial blur in processing, this blur is all in camera; created

by trying to hold an off-centre focal point and rotating around it.

Taken with my flektogon, and the vintagey feel slightly enhanced in CEfex, though I did try to minimise impact on the colour. (I held an ND filter over the lens so that I could use a slower shutter speed; i have no idea if it's even possible to get filters for vintage lenses! This works remarkable well but does require a bit of concentration.)

Day 93/365:

Day 2: April 2022: A month in 30 pictures

A rose from my beautiful Mother's Day bouquet.

Macro with texture overlay (my own) HSS

Most of my daffodils are finished now but there are one or two that are late to the spring party. Just as well as I was struggling for a photo again today.

A sunny morning brings patterns, textures, colorful shades and hues, and lots of tiny visitors to my desert garden. The pollen grains have been scattered everywhere. We just need to deposit a single grain of pollen from a stamen into a pistole for the journey to the ovary to begin. Then this flower can grow a new cactus fruit.

This is a heavily cropped version of a six-inch or approximately 15-centimeter diameter flower. The cropping was for uniform colors, colours, colores, couleurs, and tzevaot.

This segment is about 2 inches or 5 centimeters across.

I suggest viewing this large because the pollen dust is brightly catching the sunlight...
